30 Floors Up Roblox: how to escape (and the other way to win)
Clues and where they point
- RoofDaniel: "we need to get to the roof"; rooftop shelters (official)
- East stairsChained fire doors; cutting is loud
- Main lobbyBolt cutters open the main door
- Construction siteRadio: north and east gates
- Wait for rescueSurvive 100 days (official)
Short answer: the official page gives two ways out: survive 100 days and wait for rescue, or escape by a route you open yourself. Escapes are built from neighbor quests and the tools and keys they unlock; the clues point to the roof, the chained east fire doors and the main lobby door. As of 8 November no recording we found reaches an ending, so which route ends the game, and how, is not confirmed yet.
What does the game itself say?
The experience description is the only official text about endings. It asks “Can you survive 100 days?” and promises that you can “build rooftop shelters, craft escape plans, and discover new routes”, “help your neighbors, uncover secrets, and choose your escape”, ending with: will you wait for rescue, or risk everything for a way out?
Guide makers read it the same way: one says there are “multiple ways you can win”, waiting it out or escaping, and that completing the quests people give you along the way is how you get there.
Can you just survive 100 days?
That is the waiting route, and the hardest on supplies. The taps stop in the first days, food spoils, and health does not come back on its own, so lasting 100 days means a steady supply of water (the floor 27 valve), food from other apartments and almost no damage. The longest run we found had reached day 25 after two long sessions. What happens on day 100 has not been shown.
What points to an escape route?
| Clue | Where it comes from | Points to |
|---|---|---|
| “We need to get to the roof.” | Daniel, once you have let him in | The roof (rooftop) |
| City Emergency Services broadcast: residents who can move should go to the construction site, reception at the north and east gates | The radio Mara trades you | Leaving the building on foot |
| Note: east fire doors chained by management; cutting the chain is loud and the stair side is never empty; get them listening to something else first | Maintenance note found with the bolt cutters | The east stairs, with a distraction |
| Bolt cutters open the main door in the main lobby | A walkthrough of the emergency room | The ground floor |
| The roof tanks, and the lift shafts as the way to move | Arthur Hail on floor 28 | Moving between floors unseen |
| “Uncover secrets”, rooftop shelters | Official description | The roof as a long-term base |
One guide also says the rooftop “unlocks your long-term survival route”, which fits the official promise of rooftop shelters.
How do you work towards it?
- Secure water and food first (water, food). Every route needs days of supplies.
- Collect the tools: screwdriver, wrench, bolt cutters, and the triangular, emergency and lift landing keys (keys, tools).
- Do the neighbor quests: Arthur Hail, Eli and Dev Patel each open routes or hand over gear (neighbors).
- Get onto the roof through the lift shaft (rooftop).
- Plan the loud parts: cutting chains and opening the lobby draw zombies, so make noise elsewhere first.
What is still unknown?
- Which action actually triggers an ending, and whether the roof, the lobby and the construction site are separate endings or steps of one.
- Whether following the radio broadcast to the construction site is an ending of its own. No recording has tried it.
- What changes in Update 2.0 (from 8 November). See updates.
We will add each ending here once a recording or our own run shows it.
What should you carry on an escape attempt?
Nobody has shown a full escape yet, so this is the kit the known routes need, not a confirmed list:
| Item | Why |
|---|---|
| Triangular key | Lift doors: the way to the roof and between floors |
| Adjustable wrench | Bolted vents and the floor 27 valve |
| Bolt cutters | The chained east fire doors and the lobby door |
| Flashlight and batteries | Shafts and stairwells are dark after the cut |
| Water and food | Routes take more than one trip; the roof has the tank |
| A weapon | The bat or the knife |
| Something loud you can leave behind | Arthur’s note: get them listening to something else before cutting a chain |
Inventory space is the limit, so a backpack or the hiking pack comes first (backpacks).
