Where is Arthur Hail?

On floor 28, two floors below you. You first meet him as tapping on a pipe; later the objective “Arthur Hail needs…” appears. One player reached him by going down the stairwell, closing the stair doors behind him to slow the zombies, and moving a fire extinguisher out of the way to reach his door. Expect zombies on the landings (zombies).

What does Arthur need?

The objective names two things:

Forcing the door is loud, so clear the landing first. The player who freed him had no bandage, and the objective stayed open for days; carry one when you go.

What does Arthur tell you?

Once the door is off he asks you to sit a minute and shares what he knows:

• No power means no lift and no pumps, so the taps above a certain height go dry.
• The roof tanks still hold water; don’t waste it.
• The stairs are full of them, every landing, and the lift shafts are how he moves between floors.
• Dev Patel in apartment 3102 on floor 31 studies medicine; lift 2’s landing door opens onto 31 from the shaft side.
• He stays put to watch the stairs and keep his room.

Players also found a maintenance note signed by Arthur Hail next to the bolt cutters: the east fire doors were chained by management, cutting the chain is loud, and the stair side is never empty, so get the zombies listening to something else first (how to escape).

In one run Arthur mentions the roof key on the bench (rooftop).

What do you get for helping him?

In the recordings: the information above, the next objectives (Dev Patel, the roof) and access to his floor. No item reward has been shown yet; the bandage step may unlock more.

Is Arthur Hail the building’s maintenance man?

Very likely. The note found next to the bolt cutters is headed “Arthur Hail maintenance instructions” and describes the service gate and the chained east fire doors in the voice of someone who looks after the building. That fits what he knows: which pumps feed the taps, where the roof tanks are and how the lift shafts connect. The game has not stated his job outright.
