30 Floors Up Roblox multiplayer and co-op
Short answer: yes. The official page says you can play solo or team up with up to 3 friends, so a group is at most four. Everyone shares one apartment and one supply stock. The page lists no private servers and no voice chat, so coordinate in a party or call outside Roblox.
What the official page says
| Setting | Value (read 8 November 2026) |
|---|---|
| Group | Solo or up to 3 friends |
| Server size | 30 |
| Private servers | Not offered (the experience does not allow them) |
| Voice chat | Not supported |
| Camera | Not supported |
| Maturity | Mild: blood (strong, unrealistic), fear (occasional, mild) |
How does co-op play?
Recordings of groups of two to four show:
- One apartment, shared supplies. The food and water on the racks belong to the group, and everyone’s eating draws from them. Agree on the ration level (food).
- Split the day 0 jobs. One person fills buckets while another gathers food; the objectives complete for the group.
- Heavy work goes faster with two. One solo player noted that dragging furniture out of a blocked doorway “would go by faster with two”.
- Friendly bumping is real. Players can push each other, and one got shoved out into the hallway during a break-in.
- Talk outside the game. There is no in-game voice chat, so the co-op groups we watched were on a call together.
One guide sums it up: solo it feels like a horror game, with friends it turns into screaming at each other over who forgot the wrench.
Good roles for a group
- Quartermaster: keeps water and food on the racks and watches the ration days.
- Door: checks the peephole, handles the chain and the barricade.
- Runner: carries the tools and does the vent and shaft trips (vents).
- Second runner or lookout for the fourth player.
These are suggestions built from the jobs the game hands out, not roles the game assigns.
Solo or co-op?
| Solo | Co-op (2–4) | |
|---|---|---|
| Water and food | Last longest | Drain two to four times as fast |
| Day 0 | Every objective yourself | Split between players |
| Fights | One weapon; step back and repeat | More hands, but players get in each other’s way and push each other |
| Heavy furniture | Slow | Faster with two |
| Mood | “An intense horror experience” (one guide) | Loud and chaotic |
Tips from co-op recordings
- Pick a door person. The co-op run that ended worst started with two players arguing at the door during a break-in.
- Do not grab the bed someone else picked. Small, but it led to a fight in one run; agree on sleeping places on night 0.
- Read the commands. One group lost its doorway to a table because a player pressed a push prompt mid-conversation.
How do friends join your run?
In the co-op recording we watched, one player started the game first and the others could not join until it was ready (“it does not let me join… because I haven’t made it yet… it’s ready”). So the host sets up the run (saved game, see how to play) and friends join after. Whether a friend can drop into a saved run on a later day has not been shown.
